About the event

I love Bali and I have been there many times. Last year I did my first proper photo event and we had a very good time. The participants really enjoyed it and so did I. That’s why I decided make two more events. These events will be in March with the first one on 10th to 14th and the second on 17th to 21st. The first day we check in and get to know each other. The next three days are shooting days and on day five we check out. There will be three amazing models which are Yoana Nikolova, Marta Gromova and Anna Nigriv. On each event there are only six photographers to keep the more personal connection and also to maximise the shooting time. We will all stay together in a couple of villas. We sleep there and also use it as our shooting locations. Everyone will get their own private room. We will also go to at least one beach location each day.

Most of us will arrive a few days before to get used to the time difference and also rest after a long flight. That’s what I also recommend for everyone because it can be tough to come from Europe for example and go straight for the shoot. I have gathered some information about how to make the arrival in Bali easier and thing which can be good to know. I will send out these details together with all the necessary information once the participation is confirmed.

At this moment the first event is full but there are still two spots available on the second event.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding the events.

Location

We will stay in the south of the Island in the area called Uluwatu. I like this area because it is less crowded and the beaches are much nicer. This is more suitable for a photo event. Below you can see some photos of the villa location to get an idea of what we can create there. It is a beautiful place with a lot of light so it is a perfect location! It is also a very comfortable and pleasant stay which I think is important.

Inspiration

It might be hard to imagine how it will be with these models in a tropical location so I have added some of my photos from previous travels to Bali to give you some ideas. These are just examples and I’m pretty sure we will all get amazing content from this trip!

Knowledge and equipment

To participate, no special knowledge or skill level is required; however, you must be able to shoot independently most. While I'll be there to help and provide advice as needed, it's essential for you to operate without continual assistance. When it comes to equipment, you don't need much. I suggest lenses of 50mm, 85mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm, or similar. Ideally, your lens should have a focal length between 50mm and less than 100mm. As we'll be shooting in natural light, it's beneficial to have a prime lens with a large maximum aperture or a zoom lens with a 2.8 aperture. It is also a good idea to only bring the essential since carrying the bag when walking to the beaches can be hard, especially in the hot weather so keep that in mind. Feel free to ask me for advice.
